EUSA hosts a meeting on university sport and physical literacy
On October 7, the European University Sports Association (EUSA) welcomed representatives of Toulouse Universities Club (TUC) and Canadian NGO Sport for Life to its offices in Ljubljana, during their visit to Slovenia.
The meeting brought together Benoit Maury (TUC), Richard Way and Kim Simons (Sport for Life), welcomed by Liam Smith, EUSA Director of Sports Events, and Milia Moliniе EUSA Education Officer, for an exchange on their respective activities and areas of work. Sports for Life shared insights into its work on physical literacy, while EUSA presented its activities and engagement in European projects.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to look back at the experiences and outcomes of the project FUSION (Future links for University athletes with Sports clubs Integrating Organised Networks), an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership project, co-funded by the European Union. Coordinated by the EUSA Institute and partners from four countries - including TUC, the project successfully concluded this September. It focused on strengthening the connection between universities and sports clubs, helping student-athletes continue their sports practice beyond university and after graduation.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and explore common interests around university sport and physical literacy, and discuss possibilities for potential cooperation.
