EUSA GA 2006
The 2006 General Assembly of the European University Sports Association will take place in Valencia, Spain from December 1 to 3, 2006. All EUSA members are welcomed to participate but are required to registed by the end of October.

Departures

TRANSPORTATION
University of Valencia will organise transportation from Valencia / Manises Airport to the Hotel. Delegations coming by other means of transport, please contact the Organising Committee. Transport from Residencia de Tiempo Libre El Puig to the La Nau Building, where the General Assembly will be held, will also be organized.

ACCOMMODATION
All the delegates will be accommodated in the Residencia de Tiempo Libre, while the EUSA Executive Committee members will be accommodated in Hotel Inglés.
The Residencia de Tiempo Libre is located in the North of Valencia, just 14 km from the City Center and the General Assembly, in El Puig, a little quiet town by the sea.
All rooms are equipped with en-suite facilities, air conditioning and television. Top quality home cooking using fresh local products and typical dishes. Facilities: coffee room, dining room, television and video room, swimming pool, gardens, parking, laundry (self-service).

REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION FEE
The cost for full board accommodation in double room is 45 € per person per day. Single rooms are also available at your request. In this case the fee is 60 € per person per day. October 31, 2006 – deadline for registration!

DINNING
Breakfast and dinner will be served in the hotels. Lunch will be served in La Nau Building.


VALENCIA - PRACTICAL INFORMATION

LANGUAGE
There are two official languages in Valencia: "Valenciano", used in the Valencian Community, and Spanish, Spain's official language.

POSTAL SERVICES
The Central Post and Telegraph Office (Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 24) is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Stamps are also available in all tobacconists.

WEATHER
Valencia enjoys a mild temperate Mediterranean climate. The average annual temperature is 17ºC with warm summers and very mild winters, rarely below 10ºC. There is only light rainfall mainly in autumn and the beginning of spring.
 
TIPPING
Tips are included in all prices and bills, so tipping is not considered obligatory. However, if the service received is considered satisfactory, especially in bars and restaurants, a tip is often left.

BANKS
Most of banks are open from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Only a few branches open on Saturday mornings. There are 24-hour automatic tellers around the city, and most offer international services.
 
CREDIT CARDS
Most hotels, restaurants and shops in Valencia accept the main credit cards such as American Express, VISA, Master Card, 4B, Access and Diners Club.
