EUSA Executive Committee convenes online

The European University Sports Association Executive Committee gathered online for its fourth meeting of 2021 on Monday, June 7, with several important topics discussed.

Following a short welcome, approval of the agenda and confirmation of the minutes of the previous meeting, the EC members discussed various possibilities surrounding the hosting of the European Universities Games in Belgrade, Serbia in 2023. The Committee’s decision and official communication will made public in the coming weeks.

A progress report was then delivered regarding the 2022 European Universities Games in Lodz, Poland, with a delegation form the EUSA office travelling to Poland next week to meet with the Local Organising Committee as part of an operational visit.

The next item on the agenda involved this year’s electoral General Assembly, taking place from September 10-11 in Budapest, Hungary. A preparatory visit to the Hungarian capital will be made by EUSA representatives later this month. Registrations will open towards the end of June, with official invitations to be sent later this week.

The bidding procedure for the 2025 European Universities Championships was the final point discussed at the meeting, with bidding set to open on July 1.
