EUSA celebrates #BeActive campaigns also in 2023

The 9th edition of the European Week of Sport (EWOS), with the #BeActive campaign introduced by the European Commission, start today!
The European University Sports Association (EUSA) is celebrating it as usual, this year in the amazing setting of the European Universities Beach Sports Championship in Malaga, Spain.

The European Week of Sport (EWoS) is a Europe-wide initiative that encourages people of all ages and abilities to get active and stay healthy. The Week takes place every year from 23 to 30 September, and features thousands of events and activities across Europe.

The theme of the EWoS is #BeActive, and it focuses on the importance of sport and physical activity for everyone. Together with national coordinators and partner organisations, among them also EUSA as an official partner, the Week and its #HealthyLifestyle4All initiative aim to promote the many benefits of sport and physical activity.

Last years edition of the EWOS saw 40 countries and regions, 43 partners, more than 13 million participants and 32,869 events.
This year, the week is officially kicking off in Valencia, Spain, promoting sports and physical education.

The EWoS is a great opportunity to try new sports and activities, and to get active with friends and family. There are events and activities to suit everyone, regardless of age, ability, or interest.

There are many ways to get involved in the European Week of Sport, like finding and registering for events and activities in your area and sharing your photos and videos of your EWoS experiences on social media using the hashtag #BeActive.

In 2023 EUSA is celebrating EWoS at full steam in Malaga, Spain during the Beach Sports EUC, that is being contested these very days with some great Beach Handball and Beach Volleyball tournaments. Everything is also ready for a special even on September 24, when a Beach Rugby match will engage all the attendees on the Spanish beaches.
