EUSA attends youth policy and youth work event in Ljubljana

On October 4, national youth agency Movit organised a youth policy and youth work event, with guest speaker Mr Howard Williamson. The event was held at the City Hotel in Ljubljana, and was attended also by EUSA representatives.

In his presentation, Mr Williamson shared history of youth policy and youth work in Europe and expressed his vision of the development of youth policy at European level and talked about its impact on the development of local and national youth policies.

Several youth strategies were introduced, by the European Union, Council of Europe and United Nations. Most are aimed to provide more and equal opportunities for young people in education and the job market, also encouraging young people to actively participate in society. A debate followed on the impact of the policies and youth work in general.

On behalf of EUSA and its Institute the event was attended by Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl and EVS volunteer Ms Jenaan Al-Rahman Ahmed. In cooperation with members and partners, especially ENGSO Youth and the European Students' Union, EUSA remains active in the youth work and policy field.
