EUSA at the EOC General Assembly 2018

European Olympic Committees (EOC) held its 47th General Assembly in Marbella, Spain on November 9 an 10, 2018. The Assembly was attended also by representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) - President Mr Adam Roczek and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik.

The Assembly attracted the participation of more than 200 attendees, representatives of National Olympic Committees, European Sport Federations and other International and European Non-Governmental Organisations.

Mr Janez Kocijancic, EOC President addressed the participants, followed by several reports and presentations of the EOC and IOC events. The delegates approved the annual reports and activity plan for 2019. Austrian race cyclist Ms Laura Stigger was named Euorope's best young summer athlete of 2018.

Present was also Mr Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), who welcomed the delegates and guests and spoke on the need to protect the European Sport Model.

EUSA President and Secretary General with EKF

EUSA representatives, Mr Roczek and Mr Pecovnik, who signed a day before the Memorandum of Understanding with EOC; used the occasion also to meet and discuss with many representatives of EUSA partner organizations, among them European Handball Federation (EHF), European Karate Federation (EKF), European Paralympic Committee (EPC), European Non-Governmental Sport Organisation (ENGSO), European Fair Play Movement (EPFM) and several others.
