EUSA and EUG2020 Statement on Coronavirus

With regard to the current situation pertaining to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, we would like to inform you about the position of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games (EUG2020).

EUSA and EUG2020 are collaborating closely with national authorities and following directives by the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to carefully monitor the development of the Coronavirus in the world and in Europe, as well as the necessary health care prevention measures.

A task force consisting of representatives from EUSA and EUG2020, including experts from EUSA's Medical Commission and EUG2020’s medical department, are continuously monitoring and evaluating the situation, in conjunction with local and national authorities and the WHO guidelines.

Health and safety of all our participants are our primary concern, therefore additional measures have been and will be taken to protect everyone involved in the event. We will continue to follow the recommendations of WHO and the Serbian national government.

The preparations for the European Universities Games 2020 are ongoing and we encourage all participants to continue their preparation for the event.
