EUSA and ESSF sign Memorandum of Understanding

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the European School Sport Federation (ESSF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 27, 2026, at the EUSA Office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, marking a step towards strengthening cooperation between school and university sport in Europe.

The agreement established a framework for collaboration between the two organisations, reflecting their shared commitment to developing sport opportunities for school-aged athletes and university students across Europe.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Ivan Dujic, President of the European School Sport Federation, and Haris Pavletic, President of EUSA, in the premises of EUSA Office located in the Slovenian capital city.

Through the MoU, EUSA and ESSF committed to strengthening their partnership through activities and projects promoting school and university sport, including sport and education events, summits, conferences, forums and seminars. The organisations also agreed to explore opportunities for joint projects, EU-funded initiatives and competitions, while supporting the development of sport at the European level.

The cooperation also envisaged participation in each other's events, the exchange of information and news through their respective communication platforms, and the promotion of shared initiatives. By working together, both organisations aim to identify synergies and new opportunities that contribute to the continued development of sport and education across Europe.

The signing reaffirmed the commitment of both organisations to fostering stronger connections between school and university sport and exploring new opportunities for cooperation, contributing to a more connected European sporting environment for young people and student-athletes.
