European Students Run 2025 coming to Ljubljana
The inaugural edition of the European Students Run will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Sunday, October 19, as part of the Ljubljana Marathon, supported by the Runners4All - European Students Run, co-funded by the European Union.
The event offers an opportunity for students and recent graduates aged 18–30 to take part. In addition to welcoming student runners, we are encouraging the wider EUSA Family, partners and supporters to join us in the main marathon program. All participants can choose from three distances: 10 km, 21 km (half marathon), or 42 km (full marathon).
General registration for the Ljubljana Marathon remains open on the official event website: https://ljubljanskimaraton.si until end of September 2025. Project partners have limited availability for discounted registrations for students; please see the list at the official project page if you come from any of the 15 partner countries. Members of the extended EUSA family and partners have also received a special invitation and registered already.
We are happy and proud for the event to be organised in cooperation of Timing Ljubljana, City of Ljubljana and EUSA, hosted at the Slovenian capital, where EUSA Office is located. We are thrilled that already the first edition seems to be attracting over 1.000 student participants, amongst the expected 15.000 overall participants of the Ljubljana marathon and the three official distance runs.
For general promotion of running, and to support participation at the main event, partners nominated student ambassadors who are organising activities in 15 European countries. Some of the good practice examples will also be shared at a conference, held a day prior to the run, on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
