European Solidarity Corps (ESC), a new programme of the European Union aimed at creating volunteering and work opportunities and contributing to a more inclusive society, will soon officially start in its full scope.

Movit, national Youth Agency in Slovenia, did an official launch and presentation of the programme on September 6 in Ljubljana. The event was opened by the Head of European Commission Representation in Slovenia Mr Zoran Stancic and the Director of the Movit Institute Mr Uros Skrinar. The event was attended also by EUSA Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl, representing the EUSA Institute.



ESC is partially based on the current youth mobility activity of the European Voluntary Service (EVS), part of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The new ESC programme brings together young people to build a more inclusive society, supporting vulnerable people and responding to societal challenges. It offers an inspiring and empowering experience for young people who want to help, learn and develop. Volunteering activities, Jobs and traineeships and Solidarity projects are the three pillars of ESC.



The Call and the Guide have been published for projects that will start in 2019, and EUSA looks forward to continuing with the volunteering and other activities also under the framework of the European Solidarity Corps.
