EUG2021 Supervision Commission meeting held online

The organisers of the fifth edition of the European Universities Games met virtually with the EUSA EUG2021 Supervision Commission on Tuesday, December 15, with Belgrade readying itself for next year’s highly-anticipated event.

Representatives from both EUSA and the EUG2021 Organising Committee were given the chance to discuss various aspects of the event, updating each other on the progress being made as the countdown clock hits seven months before the start of the competition.

Present on behalf of EUSA was President Mr Adam Roczek; Vice-President and EUG2021 Supervision Commission Chair Mr Kemal Tamer; Vice-President Mr Haris Pavletic; Secretary General and Supervision Commission Member Mr Matjaz Pecovnik; Executive Committee and Supervision Commission Member Mr Milan Zvan as well as Sports Manager and Supervision Commission Member Mr Besim Aliti.

Present on behalf of the EUG2021 Organising Committee was EUG2021 Director Mr Predrag Juskovic; Deputy Director Ms Anita Dobre; Project Manager Mr Dragan Atanasov; Head of Medical Department Mr Nikola Cikiriz; Head of Venues Department Mr Akim Komnenic; Marketing Agency Representative Mr Marko Ristic and Marketing Agency Representative Ms Ana Bogdanovic.

Following a short introduction by both organisations, the EUG2021 Organising Committee delivered a general report, updating all present on the progress made across various organisational aspects.

Both a financial and marketing report was then given, before a discussion surrounding COVID-19 protocol and measures was had, following which an open discussion was facilitated before the close of the meeting.

Both EUSA and the Local Organising Committee are confident of the success of next year’s event, which will run from July 14-27 in the Serbian capital city.
