EUG 2022: Winners in 3x3 and Football qualified for FISU World Cups

Apart of the flattery title of European Universities Champions, winners in 3x3 Basketball and Football male and female competitions at the European Universities Games Lodz 2022 also qualified for the FISU University World Cups in these sports.
This year, under the umbrella of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the European Universities Games are the main continental qualifying event for European universities for the FISU University World Cups in 3x3 and Football. Depending on the FISU internal regulations, the invitation to take part can also be extended to the silver medallists in these events, having some space reserved also for previous winners and wild-card places.
FISU voucher for 1st place 3x3 basketball
In 3x3 Basketball, the winning teams in 3x3 Basketball Competitions of the European Universities Games are the Vytautas Magnus University (LTU) in Men and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (UKR) in Women competition.

In Men finals of football the competiton was won by West University of Timisoara (ROU).

In Women finals the first place on the podium was won by University of Bordeaux (FRA).

Otherwise, FISU World Cups still coming up for this season are - in September Combat Sports in Samsun (TUR); in October 3x3 Basketball in Istanbul (TUR) and Football in Jinjiang (CHN); and in November Cheerleading in Heraklion (GRE).
Upcoming FISU championship in combat sports
Despite the postponement of the FISU World University Games postponed to 2023, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) this year also organises World University Championships. Those still to take place this season are - in August Orienteering in Magglingen – Biel (SUI); in September Beach Volleyball and Triathlon in Maceio (BRA), Mind Sports in Antwerp (BEL), Canoe Sprint in Bydgoszcz (POL), Modern Pentathlon in Buenos Aires (ARG); in November Squash in New Giza (EGY); and postponed to July 2023 Rowing in London Ontario (CAN).
