Tomorrow marks just one month until the start of the European Universities Rowing Championship 2026, set to take place at the renowned Lake Jarun in Zagreb, Croatia, from August 26 to 29.

Europe's top university rowers will soon gather to compete across a range of men's, women's and mixed boat classes on the international-standard 2,000-metre regatta course. Over four days of competition, athletes will test their endurance, precision and teamwork in pursuit of the European university titles.

Hosted by the Zagreb Academic Sports Federation (ZASF) in cooperation with the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the championship will once again transform Lake Jarun into the centre of European university rowing. The programme will begin with the Opening Ceremony and General Technical Meeting on August 26, followed by four days of racing culminating in the medal events on August 29.

Beyond the races, the championship will provide an opportunity for student-athletes from across Europe to connect, exchange experiences, and celebrate the values of university sport, including excellence, friendship and respect. The event will also showcase Zagreb's long-standing tradition of hosting international rowing competitions at one of Europe's most recognised regatta venues.

With just one month remaining, final preparations are well underway as organisers, volunteers and participating universities look forward to welcoming Europe's finest university rowers for another unforgettable edition of the championship. Registration is complete, the racing schedule is taking shape, and the countdown to the first strokes on Lake Jarun has officially entered its final month.
