EUC Beach Sports in Granada setting the stage
Granada, Spain, is set to host the European Universities Beach Sports Championship in 2025. The Beach Handball competition will take place from 14–17 July, while Beach Volleyball will run from 14–19 July.
An initial inspection visit was held from 10–12 December 2024, during which EUSA Technical Delegate for Beach Volleyball, Anton Fichtinger, visited Granada to assess the ongoing preparations. A second inspection visit, this time for Beach Handball, was conducted on 13 May 2025, with EUSA Technical Delegate Marco Trespidi on site to evaluate the event's readiness.
During his visit, Marco Trespidi, EUSA Technical Delegate for Beach Handball, assessed the progress and configuration of the beach handball courts, ensuring they align with the standards. In addition to inspecting the competition areas, he engaged in detailed discussions with members of the Organising Committee, focusing on key technical elements such as court dimensions, athlete and referee facilities, spectator zones, and the overall event logistics. These discussions were vital in aligning local preparations with EUSA's requirements and ensuring a smooth and high-quality event delivery.
