Ladies of University of Rennes 2 proved to be too strong for all of the opponents. When we say too strong, means that they were a class above all other teams in the competitions. They managed to win the gold medal without conceding a single point. Not by a single try or a drop goal from their opponents. They scored 46 points in average and convincingly won the gold. Silver went to University of Seville, while University of Coimbra won a bronze medal.

University of Rennes 2 men Rugby 7s team also managed to take home the gold medal, and we could say that their road to the medal was a bit more difficult, because they lost a game in the group stage against University of Parma. The same teams met in the final match and this time University from France won 10:5 and took the gold. The bronze medal was won by San Jorge University (ESP).

Next year European Universities Championship in Rugby 7s is organized in Orleans, France.

We know the name of all finalists that will fight tomorrow for the remaining six medals and even know we can say that it is going to be a spectacle. After watching the men futsal semi-final match between University of Coimbra and University of Malaga we know that the home crowd will make a spectacle tomorrow in the University sports stadium. Unfortunately, Coimbra is playing only for the bronze medal in men futsal.
