University sport Finals in Croatia, under the name UniSport Finals 2018, were held in Rovinj, Croatia, during May 27-29, 2018. The event gathered more than 800 participants in 7 sports and it stands for the largest national University multi-sport event in Croatia.

Besides the attractive sport program consisting of Futsal, Handball, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Tennis and Chess, the event was followed by an attractive opening ceremony and several cultural, sport and social life activities.



At the Opening Ceremony, Mr Zrinko Custonja, President of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation (CASF), thanked the participating Universities and invited the winners of this event to the 2019 editions of EUSA European University Championships. In addition, he emphasized that this event takes place only less than 2 months before the biggest European University Sport event, EUG 2018, in Coimbra, 15-28 July, 2018.



CASF also invited representatives of Albanian University Sports Federation, represented by its President Mr Besnik Veliu, and Kosovo University Sports Federation, represented by its President Mr Musa Selimi, to attend the Unisport Finals. Before this event, the representatives of Kosovo and Albania were hosted in Zagreb, from May 25-27, 2018.



For this occasion, a basketball match between the Universities of Tirana and Zagreb was organized, and several operational meetings were held in order to discuss larger cooperation and development of University sport internally, within the mentioned countries. The meetings in Zagreb and the events in Rovinj were attended also by EUSA Sports Manager Mr Besim Aliti, who represented the European University Sports Association.



EUSA congratulates the Croatian Academic Sports Federation on the great organization of UniSport Finals and to the great contribution on EUSA members collaboration and development of the university sport.
