Counting down to Napoli 2019

The biggest global university sports event is just around the corner as organisers complete the final preparations for this year’s FISU Summer Universiade in Napoli, Italy.

From July 3-14, some of the world’s most talented student athletes will gather for the 30th edition of the Summer Universiade, congregating in the very same country that hosted the very first Summer Universiade in Torino 60 years ago.

This year’s Universiade also coincides with the 70th anniversary of FISU, the Federation of International University Sport.

Almost 6000 athletes will descend upon Napoli for the Games, with almost half of those being accommodated on cruise ships in what will be a unique version of this year’s Athlete’s Village.
