Cooperation between EUSA and IFMA realised in Poland

We are delighted to announce that the European University Sports Association (EUSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA). Signing the Memorandum is a result of the common interests and goals of both organisations - to increase the participation among students of higher education in sport, and to provide the best conditions at EUSA sports events.

Muaythai is a popular sport among university students across the world, and also in Europe. The International University Sports Federation (FISU) held the first Muay Thai sports event in 2018. Four years later, the sport will also be featured at the EUSA's European Universities Games 2022 in Lodz, Poland.

Signing the Memorandum of understanding in Warsaw

We are very excited to have muaythai added to the EUSA Combat Sports programme, and we look forward to enabling university student athletes from all over Europe to experience the largest university sport event in Europe - the European Universities Games. The joint cooperation will enable better promotion, organisation and future development of muaythai and university sport in general.

EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek and IFMA Vice-President Mr Rafal Szlachta
