Celebrating #ErasmusDays 2023

Celebrating #ErasmusDays 2023

Starting from October 9th, the Erasmus Days 2023 are celebrated all over Europe!

This 7th edition will spotlight the cultural diversity and richness of Europe and the learning opportunities it offers to people of different age and origin. The main theme of Erasmus Days this year is “6 days to make Europe shine”. The main aim of the celebration is to promote chances and options that the Erasmus programme gives to European students and young people.

The Erasmus Days celebration offers an ideal platform to explore new cultures, enhance their language and intercultural skills, boost their employability, and embrace European values like tolerance, respect, and diversity. The main aim is to engage a wide audience through diverse activities, promoting the positive impact of Erasmus+ and emphasizing the significance of international mobility, cooperation, and knowledge sharing to enhance education quality.

The 2022 record of 6295 events has been surpassed this year with 7545 Erasmus Days events being organised around the world consisting of all types of concerts, exhibitions, information days, talks and online events. The experiences of those who have been on the Erasmus journey will be shared to those interested in discovering all Erasmus and the world has to offer. Testimonials will be published and shared over social media communication platforms showing the celebrations all over the world.

EUSA, through its Institute, is involved in several projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and is using this year’s #ErasmusDays festival to highlight some of the transnational projects active in 2023, as well as the new projects, with special focus the different topics:

We are also looking forward the projects that are going to start soon, one on the topic of Dual Career -  "Discovering university sport and supporting dual career (DiscoverU)" and the other focusing on mental health in sports - "Youth Individual Sports Mindset (YouMind)".

EUSA Institute will also partner in the projects "More than Games", planning and implementation of the Volunteer Program and Educational Side-Event Program of the European Universities Games Debrecen-Miskolc 2024 (EUG2024); and "European Week of Winter Sport EWWS)", encouraging participation in sport and physical activity also in winter, while raising awareness about climate change and promoting sustainability.
