Celebrating #ErasmusDays 2022

Celebrating #ErasmusDays 2022

Celebrations of this year’s edition of the #ErasmusDays happened this week, taking place from 13 to 15 of October, throughout Europe, with the European University Sports Association and EUSA Institute also joining the commemoration.

#ErasmusDays is a unique three-day celebration of the Erasmus+ Programme in Europe and beyond, based on a very simple concept where three specific days, are dedicated to promotion of European values, mobility benefits and Erasmus+ project results, to boost visibility for citizens, stakeholders, media and policy makers.

In 2022, the #ErasmusDays were organised in line with the 35 years anniversary and the European Year of Youth, with the tagline “Sharing our European values with the youth of today and tomorrow: for 35 years now and many more to come”. During this celebration 6296 #ErasmusDays events were organised around the world.

This year, as part of the #ErasmusDays, people were also invited to take up the #GuessWherasmus challenge on social networks to encourage communication about the Erasmus+ program and its opportunities. The idea behind was to get your contacts to guess the destination of Erasmus+ exchanges past, present or even future, through a visual  guessing using an image of an iconic place, or using cultural or linguistic clues.

EUSA, through its Institute, is involved in several projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and is using this year’s #ErasmusDays festival to highlight some of the transnational projects active in 2022, with special focus the different topics:
- Dual Career: Brand Value Alignment through Dual Career (BRAVA) and Micro Learning Entrepreneurship for Athletes (MLEA)
- Inclusion and Equal Opportunities: Inclusion in Sport (iSport), Innovating Football Leadership through Practice and Policy (IFLIPP) and GendeR Equality in Sports (PROGRES)
- Safeguarding in Sport, Clean and Sustainable Sport: Green Sports Hub Europe (GSHE)
- Mobility, Volunteering and Sports events: Unisport, European Universities Games, United Forces to Support the Education of University Sport Community (UNI4S)
- Volunteering: Work for a cause, serve for sport (W4C), Beach Volunteer, Beach Fair (VOLFAIR), European Solidarity Corps (ESC)
