CASF UniSport Stars Gala 2026

The Croatian Academic Sports Federation (CASF) celebrated its most successful academic year at the UniSport Stars Gala in Zagreb’s Westin Hotel, honoring the best student athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors to university sport.

The event recognized outstanding achievements, including five world and 18 European medals, as well as major international competitions hosted in Croatia.

The audience was addressed by Haris Pavletic, EUSA President and President of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation, who congratulated the award winners in an emotional speech and thanked everyone who had contributed to student sport, continuously proving its quality and importance in social life year after year.

EUSA Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA 1st Vice-President Bruno Barracosa, Director of Sports Events Liam Smith,  members of the EUSA Executive Committee, and FISU representatives attended the ceremony, underscoring an active role in supporting and promoting university sport.

The ceremony featured numerous awards recognizing achievements across athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers, and special projects, celebrating excellence and contribution in all aspects of university sport.

Special Recognition for Contribution to the Development and Promotion of Student Sport was awarded to the UniSport H2O project, whose highlight was the organization of the 2025 EUSA European Universities Water Polo Championship 2025 in Vukovar.
