The European University Sports Association (EUSA) invites all member delegations to submit nominations for the Enno Harms Fair Play Award 2026, recognising exceptional examples of fairness, integrity, respect, and sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the European Universities Games 2026 and the upcoming European Universities Championships 2026.

The award celebrates individuals and university teams whose actions embody the true spirit of university sport, both on and off the field of play. Through your nominations, we aim to acknowledge those who have demonstrated outstanding fair play and inspired others through their respect for opponents, officials, teammates, and the values of sport.

Guided by EUSA's core values and the principles of the Olympic Movement, our events promote respect, equality, inclusion, integrity, and non-discrimination, contributing to a more inclusive and peaceful society through sport.

The EUSA Enno Harms Fair Play Award is presented annually to the athlete or university team that has demonstrated exemplary fair play during EUSA events. Throughout the Games and Championships, fair play recognitions may be presented on-site to honour remarkable acts of sportsmanship. Following the conclusion of the season, the EUSA Executive Committee reviews all nominations submitted from the year's events and selects the overall recipient of the Enno Harms Fair Play Award, which is traditionally presented during the EUSA Gala.

Since 2007, EUSA has honoured outstanding acts of fair play through the Enno Harms Fair Play Award, named in memory of EUSA's first President, Enno Harms, whose commitment to ethical values and respect in sport continues to inspire the university sports community. At every EUSA event, organisers, officials, volunteers, and participants reaffirm their commitment to these principles through the Fair Play Oath during the Opening Ceremony.

In partnership with the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), EUSA continues to promote sportsmanship, respect, solidarity, and ethical behaviour across all its activities. For more than two decades, fair play has remained at the heart of EUSA's mission, reinforcing the belief that the greatest achievements in sport are measured not only by results but also by the values demonstrated along the way.

Fair play is the unwritten rule that defines the true essence of sport. It encourages respect for opponents, officials, teammates, and oneself, while promoting honesty, dignity, solidarity, and mutual understanding. These principles remain fundamental to university sport and continue to shape the positive educational and social impact of EUSA events.
