Phil Attwell, Director of Sport at the University of Exeter, has been elected as the new Chairman of the British Universities Sports Association. HRH The Princess Royal was the principal guest at BUSA's 10th Anniversary Dinner in London last week where hockey player Kwandwane Browne (London Metropolitan University) and Olympic trampolinist Kirsten Lawton (University of Surrey) were named Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year respectively. Meanwhile, BUSA will be hosting the European Universities Sports Association annual conference from 2-5 December this year. The event will include the General Assembly along with a seminar focusing on the 'Tracking of young sportsmen and women from school to University.
Speakers from across Europe are being invited to contribute to the discussion topic along with examples of good practice from within the UK. More @ http://www.busa.org.uk
