BRAVA partners working on brand values & dual career

Partners of the BRAnd Value Alignment through Dual Career - BRAVA project met online for a second meeting on September 29, 2021. It was the opportunity for all partners to exchange ideas, present the work done and the steps to come.

The lack of existing projects linking Dual Career and Corporate Social Responsibility was once more highlighted during this meeting, emphasizing the importance and uniqueness of the project. It aims to encourage corporate managers and private companies to recognise the employability of Dual Career athletes and coaches while putting the spotlights on the challenges encountered by them.

Because collecting information directly from the targeted people is key, a lot of attention was given to the selection of the participants: former/current athletes, coaches and corporate managers. The future participants – from Denmark, Italy, Ireland, Serbia, Slovenia and Belgium - will have the chance to give their opinion during national focus group (online or in person) and online concept mapping. The scientific community is also an important voice in this project and the researchers will be vital in enriching the data in this field.

The collected information during the research will be used to produce a guidebook with advice to better the working environment of Dual Career athletes and coaches. The communication and dissemination of the project were also discussed, so the targeted public as well as the mainstream audience can follow the project and interact on the key subjects of Dual Career and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Partners of this transnational project include University of Limerick (IRL) as the project coordinator, Roma Tre University (ITA), Faculty of Sport and Physical Education University of Nis (SRB), University of Ljubljana (SLO), Elite Sports Academy Aarhus (DEN), European Platform for Sports and Innovation (BEL), European Athlete as Student (MLT), Human Age Institute Foundation (ITA) and the EUSA Institute (SLO).

EUSA Institute was represented at the meeting by the Education and Development Manager Ms Sara Rozman, Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl, and the Project Assistant/ESC Volunteer Ms Anouk Renaud.
