Additional TD inspection visit for EUG 2024 took place in Debrecen

On 8th of April, 2024, an additional inspection visit took place in Debrecen for the newly appointed EUSA Technical Delegates and for the ones who could not plan any inspection during the EUSA - EUG24 convention last June. 

The EUSA Technical Delegates who took part in the inspection were: Ms Paivi Mitrunen, EUSA Technical Delegate for Handball, Mr Marco Trespidi, EUSA Technical Delegate for Beach Handball, and Mr Marcin Fidala, EUSA Technical Delegate for Table Tennis, while the Sport Officer, Ms Eszter Gulyas has represented the EUSA Office.

During this visit, EUSA delegation was accompanied by Mr Gabor Orosz, National TD for Table Tennis, Ms Katalin Varga, Project Leader Debrecen EUG2024, Mr Mate Nagyistok, Junior Project Manager MEFS, as well as representatives of Sport Events company and local sports coordinators from Debrecen. 

The one day inspeciton visit was mainly used to inspect the venues for the respective sports. The visit started with the check up and approval of the three facilities for Handball: the DESOK Sports Hall, Olah Gabor Sports Hall, as well as the Handball training hall. 

The DESOK Sports Complex will also host the competitions in Beach Handball. 

Regarding Table Tennis, the delegation visited the venue Kossuth College.

The next steps were agreed upon, and further online meetings will be held in the upcoming weeks to assess the progress for each venue.
