A dedicated team of over 36 local and international volunteers ensured the smooth running of the event. Their efforts were instrumental and deeply appreciated by organisers and athletes alike. Beyond the matches, participants enjoyed a lively atmosphere around Zagreb, with cultural side events, social gatherings at Club Roko and the city’s warm hospitality adding to the championship’s unique identity. One volunteer shared: “Being part of something so international and full of positive energy was truly unforgettable. I met incredible people, made new friendships, shared so many laughs, and got to do something I genuinely love. Even as a volunteer, I learned so much and felt like I was part of something really big.”

The symbolic passing of the EUSA flag to a Spanish official marked the official conclusion of this year’s tournament and a warm welcome to the next host: the next edition of the European Universities Futsal Championship will take place in Madrid, Spain, in 2027; while all university teams from across Europe are invited to join the next Futsal competition in Salerno, Italy already next summer, during the European Universities Games 2026.
