55th ASA Championship concluded

The 55th ASA International Championship, took place from 19-22 of March in the Israeli city of Eilat, organized under the patronage of the European University Sports Association (EUSA). 

Organized by the Israel Academic Sports Association, in this years ASA International Championship, participated 2200 students from Israel and other European countries.
In addition to the local universities, foreign delegations of students from abroad also took part, which included participants from Poland, Croatia and Albania.

The four-day competition, which took place from March 19-22, included an array of 24 sports events, including 3x3 Basketball, Aquathlon (Run/Swim/Run), Beach Volleyball, Chess, Cross Country Running, Futsal, Handball, Judo, Mountain Biking, CatchBall, Orienteering, Swimming (in a pool 25m) Sea Kayak, Stand up Paddeling (Sup), Table Tennis, Tennis and Wind Surfing.

Throughout the competition, the athletes competed in their 24 sports, challenging themselves and giving their best sporting skills, as well as enjoying many social and cultural events. 

The 4 day competition, was sucesfully concluded with many great finals and many medals and cups.

In addition to the sporting events, the International ASA Leadership Conference took place from March 17th -19th prior to the start of the Championships. Organized in conjunction with the national Union of Israeli, this conference focused on the topic of promotion and leading of the sport in academic institutions.

A reception of the Heads of Delegations took place, hosted by ASA, with the presence of the Mayor of Eilat, the Chairman of the Israel Student Association and Members of the Asa Israel Board.
