4ALL project's final conference

European University Sports Association (EUSA) with its Institute was represented at the final conference of the ZaVse/4ALL project, held online on October 23.

The 4ALL project is an initiative working on increasing the level of inclusion on one hand, and offering better accessibility on the other. Less discrimination contributes significantly to raising awareness and reducing the problems that exist in society regarding equal opportunities and discrimination against vulnerable groups, focusing on Slovenia. Discrimination and unequal opportunities have been identified especially in vulnerable groups such as the Roma, the same-sex oriented, refugees, the socially disadvantaged and persons with disabilities.

Online conference discussion

Key objectives of the initiative were to raise awareness of NGOs on the importance of equality and strengthening equality, improve the understanding of discrimination, raise awareness on how to prevent discrimination, and raise awareness on protection from discrimination against the most vulnerable groups in Slovenia. During the project, the project partners carried out public events on raising socially responsible awareness, held education and training events as well as individual workshops. A media campaign has also been launched.

At the online conference the project aims and activities were presented, followed by an open debate with key stakeholders and event participants. EUSA followed the project with great interest, as it is working on the topics of inclusion, diversity and accessibility through several initiatives, and will lead a dedicated project Inclusion in Sport (iSport), to be launched in 2021.

The 4ALL project started in 2019 and was led by three NGO organisations, funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund and the Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.
