Looking ahead, six events are still to come, featuring 11 sports: 3x3 Basketball in Salerno (ITA), Combat Sports (Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, Taekwondo) in Warsaw (POL), Table Tennis in Burdur (TUR), Chess in Yerevan (ARM), Rowing in Bydgoszcz (POL) and Winter Sports (Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Snow Volleyball) in Val di Zoldo (ITA).
These events showcase outstanding performances and strong university spirit, promoting values like diversity, friendship and fair play and celebrating dual career. EUSA expects that the 2025 season will achieve record-breaking participation, with over 5000 participants with student athletes representing their universities at these continental events. Registration is still open for the European Universities Winter Championships, taking place in Val di Zoldo, Italy, this December. As indicated, the sports programme will include Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Snow Volleyball, as well as feature an educational event - EUSA Winter Forum.
Apart from the Championships, students also have the chance to take part in the European Students Run, held in October as part of the Runners4All projects and Ljubljana Marathon in Slovenia. Registration for this event is also still open, with participation opportunities for students and non-students in 10km, 21km and 42km runs.
With September events we will also celebrate the European Week of Sport with the #BeActive campaign and the International Day of University Sport with its #LetsIDUS campaign; and the December events will be a prelude to the upcoming edition of the European Week of Winter Sport with its #BeActiveWinter campaign.

The year 2025 is proving to be a milestone for university sports, also marked by the FISU World University Games. Europe has proudly hosted both editions this year: Turin in Italy held the Winter Games in January, while the Rhine-Ruhr and wider region in Germany welcomed participants to the Summer Games earlier this month.
Big thanks to the hosts, local organisers, participants, volunteers and supporters for co-creating these unforgettable events with us!
