2018 EUSA Gender Equality Survey launched

Based on the EUSA gender equality survey’s results completed in 2011 and 2016 and the interest of our members and partners, especially after the EU-funded project SCORE (Strengthening Coaching with the Objective to Raise Equality), the European University Sports Association (EUSA) is carrying out a follow-up project ENACT on strengthening women’s participation at all levels.

EUSA Institute is currently leading a two-year Erasmus+ project together with partners from Hungary, Portugal and Turkey. The Empowered Nation – ENACT project aims to make a change in university sport, targeting gender equality. The project’s aim is to raise awareness of women empowerment in university sport through non-formal education and volunteering.

Female participation

In order to reach this goal, we would like to get an updated picture about the current situation of gender equality in university sport in Europe, so our members have been invited to fill out the information, complete the survey and return it to us. The aim of the questionnaire is to gather data on different aspects of university sport with a special emphasis given to question of gender equality at university sport level in 46 EUSA member countries.

Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union

The outcomes of the results, which should enable the improvement of the implementation of gender equality principles as good practice, will be used for recommendations to the EUSA members. At the same time, the findings will be used for the preparation of policies and guidelines for EUSA as the umbrella organization.
