2018 European Week of Sport Seminar

Sport Unit of the European Commission organised on May 22 and 23 in Riga, Latvia a Key Players' Seminar for the partners and national coordinators of the European Week of Sport and #beactive campaign, hosted by Latvian Sports Federation’s Council. European University Sports Association (EUSA) also took part in the event.

EUSA was represented at the event by Mr Andrej Pisl, EUSA Communications and Projects Manager.

The Seminar kicked off on May 22 with the welcome by the European Commission and local hosts in a plenary session, and continued with workshops in smaller groups.

In the afternoon, the participants took part in #beactive treasure hunt in the old city center of Riga, getting to know the local sights, and engaging in physical activity.

The next day, the details of the European Week of Sport were discussed in more details, along with the presentation of the communication campaign.

Working sessions

The 2018, the European Week of Sport will be held September 23-30 and will be opened officially in Vienna, Austria, by the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Mr Tibor Navracsics.

EUSA promotion of the European Week of Sport

The European Universities Games and other EUSA events are promoting the European Week of Sport and the #beactive campaign. EUSA also encourages its members and partners to implement activities on local level and contribute to the promotion!
