Dedicated Erasmus+ webinar for Ukraine

On Tuesday, March 7, an online Erasmus+ webinar for Ukraine, focusing on funding and networking opportunities was held.

The event was organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine together with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, in close cooperation with the European Commission - DG EAC, European Executive Agency for Education and Culture, National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the Sports Committee of Ukraine.


The event was moderated by Ms Svitlana Shytikova, National Erasmus Office Ukraine, and the topic of supporting Ukrainian sport organisations by cooperation partnerships for international collaboration was elaborated by the contributions by Mr Andriy Chesnokov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for European Integration; Mr Georg Häusler, Director at the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC); Ms Floor van Houdt, Head of Sport Unit (DG EAC) and Mr Yves Le Lostecque, Head of Unit Erasmus Mundus and Sport European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

Cooperation Partnerships, How to participate and What’s next if the project is selected were presented, followed by discussions on concrete cooperation opportunities, held in form of speed networking sessions.

The event was attended by existing and interested new partners and beneficiaries from the Erasmus+ Programme Countries and Ukrainian organisations, with the aim to establish and strengthen collaboration working in the sphere of sport.

European University Sports Association (EUSA) with its EUSA Institute is coordinator of the Enhancing Sport Organisations and Management (ESOM) project, where the national university sports body in Ukraine - Sports Students' Union of Ukraine (SSUU) is also one of the project partners. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
