Friendship Games 2015

Eilat, Israel: May 27 - June 3, 2015




The 10th Friendship Games, an International Basketball Tournament for students, ended in a moving Closing Ceremony on the banks of the Red Sea. The anniversary event took place between May 27 and June 3, 2015 in Eilat, Israel with the cooperation of ASA - Academic Sport Association Israel and Tel Aviv University Sports Club, under the patronage of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), International University Sports Federation (FISU) and other partners.

Athletes, both men and women, from Jordan, the Palestinian authority, Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Israel took part at this year's event.



Once again, the power of sport provided the basis of a fascinating encounter between students from diverse religions and backgrounds. Under the slogan "7 Days to Experience, a Lifetime to Remember," new friendships were formed, allowing students to get to know each other on a personal basis.



All the participants had a chance to visit Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. Social events created a great atmosphere of friendship and companionship.



Although winning is not the most important part of this event, it is worth mentioning that in the Women's as well as in the Men's Tournament the teams from Lithuania took home the Trophies.
