New SUSA leadership for the term 2024 2028

On Monday, March 11, 2024, the electoral assembly of the Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) took place, where the new leadership for the next 4 years was elected.

The new Executive Board will be led by President – Mr Klemen Kristan and three Vice-Presidents: Mr Marjan Pucnik, Mr Alen Nikola Rajkovic and Mr Patrik Perosa. Members of the Executive Board were also elected.

Taking the new position, Mr Kristan expressed: "I am deeply honoured to have been elected as the President of the Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA). This prestigious position is not just a role but a responsibility that I embrace with utmost respect and dedication. The opportunity to contribute to the advancement of university sports in Slovenia and to work collaboratively with esteemed organizations such as the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the International University Sports Federation (FISU) fills me with great enthusiasm. I look forward to fostering strong relationships and engaging in fruitful collaborations with all stakeholders in the realm of university competitive sports, both within Slovenia and internationally. Our collective effort will undoubtedly enrich the university sports landscape, offering new opportunities for growth and development to our athletes and students."

At the 1st constitutive session of the Executive Board 2024-2028, Mr Jan Sredenšek was appointed as the Secretary General of SUSA (mandate 2024 -2029).

"It is a great honour to be elected to this important position. I sincerely look forward to cooperating with EUSA, other national university sports federations and other sports organizations. I believe that with my knowledge, experience, and energy, I can contribute to the even greater success of SUSA on both the international and national levels. My vision is for SUSA to become an even more recognizable and influential organization that actively promotes student sports and strengthens international cooperation. I am convinced that we can achieve a lot with EUSA and other national federations and create better conditions for student sport in Slovenia and Europe. I am looking forward to all the challenges that await me, and I believe that together with the newly elected SUSA team and other partners we will achieve the set goals." – said Mr Sredenšek.
