3rd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP |
The 3rd European University Football Championship took place from July 11 to 17, 2005 in the City of Nis, the second largest city in Serbia and Montenegro and one of the oldest cities in the Balkans. Eight European university teams came to Nis, and the matches were played on four different stadiums.
The matches were played on a very good level, and the finals were especially interesting. The University of Caen defeated the Aigaleo Athens Technological Institute with 3:1; after extra time had to be played (1:1 in the regular time).
