EUSA meets with Technical Delegates online for EUG 2024

EUSA conducted a fruitful online Technical Delegates Coordination Meeting on Tuesday, March 5, as preparations continue for this year’s 2024 European Universities Games in Debrecen-Miskolc, Hungary.
The meeting was attended by the EUSA Office Sports department (Miha Zvan, Eszter Gulyas and Aleksandra Andreeva), EUSA Technical Commission Executives, EUSA Technical Delegates and the EUG 2024 Organising Committee.

The meeting formed an opportunity for EUSA to update the Technical Delegates on the association’s activities and processes involved in the build-up to the next Games, which will take place from July 12-24, 2024. The occasion also served for introducing 4 new EUSA Technical Delegates, nominated for the term 2024-2025 during the last EUSA EC Meeting; namely Mr. Tomas Pavlovsky (Tennis), Mr. Marcin Fidala (Table Tennis), Ms. Pascale Weiwers (Basketball) and Mr. Marco Trespidi (Beach Handball).

Welcome words were given by EUSA Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik. Then the meeting agenda quickly moved to the first point, involving the composition of the new Technical Commission and the CTC Chairs nominated for this summer's event.

The topic of tasks was then in-depth explained, underlying all the duties, responsibilities and rights of the TD body, both in the period before the event and during the EUG itself. The important role of the former was emphasized, finding everyone present in agreement.

Following this, a general update on sports-specific organizational advancements was given by the OC members attending the meeting, which was then concluded by a refresh on the timeline and the key milestones leading up to the Games.
