EUSA on EADInn Bridge

The EADInn Bridge is the final conference of the EU-funded project European Anti-Doping Initiative (EADIn) and concludes the 15-month cooperation of nine partner organisations, among them also the European University Sports Association (EUSA).

 
The conference started on January 14, 2012 in Innsbruck (AUT) which is at the same time also the host of the Winter Youth Olympic Games. The welcome addresses were given by Mr Ingo Weiss, Chairman of the German Sports Youth and Mr Jan Holze, ENGSO Youth Chairman.

The participants of the conference are the EADIn Anti-Doping Junior Ambassadors, representatives of the EADIn partners, politicians, experts, scientists in the field of anti-doping preventive work. Present on the opening session were also Mr Alberto Gualtieri, EUSA President and Mr Matjaž Pečovnik, Secretary General.

The aims of the conference are to review the experience of the nine partners and the Anti-Doping Junior Ambassadors during the past twelve months, to exchange best practices, foster cross-border communication and future long-term cooperation and to develop recommendations for future measures and portray and discuss international developments in the field.
 
EUSA EADIn Ambassadors and Coordinator
 
The EUSA Anti Doping Junior Ambassadors present in Innsbruck are Andre Bonello (MLT), Tjaša Hojnik (SLO), Aikaterini Zompanaki (GRE), Luka Rukavina (CRO) and Jan Družina (SLO); together with their coordinator Abosede Ajayi (GBR), member of the EUSA Medical Commission. Their results of their work were presented to the participants by Bonello and Ajayi.
 
After their presentation, the audience was addressed by Mr Alberto Gualtieri. 'EUSA will continue working in promoting core values of university sport, including awareness raising about doping and its threats' said the President among others, and thanked all the partners for the work done so far.

The conference will last three days. The outcome of the project will be presented at the EUSA Conference and also to the EUSA Member Federations during the General Assembly in March.
