2nd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES RUGBY 7s CHAMPIONSHIP

Rome, Italy: July 24-27, 2008

The 2nd EUC Rugby 7s was organised by the CUS Roma and Italian University Sports Federation (CUSI) from July 24-27, 2008 in Rome.

9 teams from 6 European countries participated in the men competition. After a number of quality matches, the title of the Champions went to the University of Limoges (FRA) who won in the finals the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (GBR) with 31:26. A day before the semifinal matches were held. The U.W.I.C. won the University of Coimbra (POR) 19:12 in the first match, while in the second semifinal match the University of Limoges (FRA) won. University of Leeds (GBR) with 31:7.

In women competition the winner was decided after 3 matches between the University of Northumbria (GBR) and University of Lille (FRA). The University of Northumbria won 2:1 in matches.
