4th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Izola, Slovenia: July 23-29, 2007

The 4th EUC Futsal was organised by the Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) from July 23-30, 2007 in Izola. 20 men from 16 European countries participated on the event, what represents a new record. The Opening Ceremony was held on the open air in the City Centre in the presence of more than 1,000 spectators. Mr. Otmar Kugovnik, the President of SUSA and Mr. Phil Attwell, EUSA EC Representative welcomed the participants and opened the Championship.

After a number of quality matches, the title of the Champions went to the Dniepropetrovsk State Finance Academy (UKR), who won in the finals the University of Zagreb (CRO) with 3:1. The bronze medallist was decided after penalties. The title for Fair Play went to the University of Munster (GER). The best scorer was Stephan Boos from the University of Zurich (SUI).

The host of the EUC Futsal in 2008 will be Wroclaw (POL).
