2nd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

11 men university teams from 10 countries met in Wroclaw, Poland at the 2nd European University Football Championship. The teams were received by the organisers of the event, the Academic Sports Association of Wroclaw and the Academy of Physical Education of Wroclaw. On the pitches of the beautifully situated sports centre of the Academy of Physical Education, the rivalry was very balanced. The final match was played at the GEM Stadium and viewed by many spectators. After a ravishing game, the University of Besancon team won against their Greek colleagues with 3:0, proving their ability to reach for their first European University Championship! The team from Prague obtained the third place in the tournament, defeating the University of Novi Sad with 2:0.
