3rd European University Basketball Championship

3rd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The City of Novi Sad (SCG) was the venue of the 3rd European University Basketball Championship. 19 teams from 13 countries responded to the invitation of the University Sports Federation of Serbia and Montenegro and came to the championship, which was in the beautiful sports centre Spens. The favourites of the tournament justified the expectations. The women team of the University of Novi Sad won the title for the third time in the row. In the finals, they won against the Zaporizhja Institute of State & Municipal with 79:74. Also, the other title of the Champions remained in the host county. The University of Belgrade defeated the University of Zagreb with 107:80.
