2024-2028 FISU America Executive Committee elected

FISU America held its General Assembly in Brazil, where the elections for the 2024 – 2028 Executive Committee were held.

Within the framework of the FISU America 2024 Assembly, the elections were held for the representatives who will represent the different positions within the leadership of the International University Sports Federation of America, for the next four years, which will continue the work that is being carried out, to improve university sports on the continent.

The work of our representatives is important because throughout the year they are the ones who guarantee that all the events organized by this Federation are carried out in the best way. In addition, they are responsible for making decisions based on the needs of the continent's sports and educational institutions, so that more young people can be part of the university sports family.

The elected Executive Committee for the next period (2024-2028) is led by Mr Alim Maluf Neto who was re-elected President, with Mr Fred Asprilla as Vice President.  At the General Assembly, Ms America Alvarado was re-elected on the position of Secretary General and Ms Ines Gomez on the position of Treasurer. Elected as Advisors were Mr Alex Funes, Mr Gernot Hecht, Mr Ian Pritchard, Mr Cristian Romero and Mr Gabriel Valdes.

“I am extremely happy for another four years at the head of FISU America, it is the result of the work of an executive committee that for the last four years worked hard to develop the activities of our continent. I want to thank all the countries that participated in this General Assembly, where we worked, dialogued, and showed the unity and strength of our continent,” said Mr Alim Maluf, re-elected President.

FISU America appreciates the commitment of the candidates who were present at this Assembly, and is committed to continuing to work with seriousness, commitment, and professionalism for the continent.
